Plattsburgh William Warren Frost, Jr., M.D., 69, of Hidden Pines Drive, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Saturday October 25, 2014 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Ludlow, MA on March 4, 1945 the son of William Warren and Yvonne (Flagg) Frost. William graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B.A. in pre-med and in 1972 from the University of Tennessee School of Medicine. He was Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and operated a private practice; Frost Medical Rehabilitation/Pain Management in Washington, PA. William served in the United States Air Force from 1975 to 1977 as a Captain and Physician at Plattsburgh Air Force Base. He was a former resident of Chazy, NY where he practiced family medicine in the 1970's. William was a faculty member at SUNY Plattsburgh and Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. He served as Director of Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Hahnemann University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA and was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of Chartiers Lodge 0297, Canonsburg, PA. Bill loved the outdoors and had a special love for Lake Champlain and the High Peaks Region of the Adirondacks. He was active in kayaking, canoeing, camping, hiking the Adirondacks, fishing, hunting and target shooting. Bill a former resident of Wilmington, NY, was an avid downhill skier and Whiteface Mountain was his favorite. Bill was predeceased by his father, his son William Warren Frost, III, M.D. and a sister Yvonne Hastings. Bill is survived by his wife Lauren J. Harden-Frost of Plattsburgh, NY, his mother Yvonne Frost of Wilbraham, MA, his daughter Elaine B. Ross and her husband Derek of Gibsonia, PA, his grandchildren; Noah Narcisso and Brooke Elizabeth Ross of Gibsonia, PA, his stepchildren; Matthew P. Malutinok and his wife Lynelle of Plattsburgh, NY and Mary L. Armsden and her husband David of Plattsburgh, NY, and his step grandchildren; Lynsey Malutinok and Connor Armsden. Private interment will be in Black River Cemetery in Westport, NY, as per his wishes, he will be laid to rest next to his father, a long-time resident of Westport.
