William W Lafountain

Altona- William W. LaFountain, 57, of 394 Devils Den Road, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Plattsburgh on May 8, 1950, the son of Wilfred and Doris (LaValley) LaFountain. William attended local schools. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the U.S. Army where he received his G.E.D.. William is survived by his wife, Linda M. Farnham LaFountain of Altona, two sons- Joshua Farnham LaFountain and companion Shona Jennette of Plattsburgh, Justin Farnham LaFountain and wife Melissa LaFountain of West Chazy, 3 sisters- Gloria G. Ferris of Rouses Point,Virginia L. LaFountain and companion Joseph Veivia of Mooers Forks, Patricia LaFountain and companion Alain Chalifoux of Beaumont, Quebec, 4 brothers- Richard LaFountain and companion Diane Stone of West Chazy, Timothy J. LaFountain and wife Catherine of Mooers Forks, Scott M. White and wife Peggy of Mooers Forks, Todd M. White and wife Trish of Averill Park, N.Y., 3 grandsons- Rece Alexander LaFountain and Rylie Joshua LaFountain of Plattsburgh, Bryce Farnham LaFountain of West Chazy, several aunts and uncles including Alfred and Theresa LaFountain of Plattsburgh, and many nieces and nephews. His father Wilfred G. LaFountain and his maternal grandmother Rosina LaValley, died earlier. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 3123 Miner Farm Road in Altona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday from Holy Angels Church in Altona. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Altona Rescue Squad.
