William W Lamarche

d. August 28, 2008

Beekmantown William (Bill) Wesley LaMarche, 68, of Dumont Road, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on August 21, 1940, son of Bertha and Frederick LaMarche. Bill was a graduate of Plattsburgh High School; he had been employed by Imperial Paper Mill for over thirty years before the mill closed. After his retirement he enjoyed helping at Palmer's Veterinary and was an active EMT and volunteer fireman. Bill was pre-deceased by his loving wife of forty six years, Patricia Ann (Madden) LaMarche, his parents, Fred and Bertha LaMarche and two brothers, Fred LaMarche and Raymond LaMarche. Bill leaves behind two sons, William (Billy Joe) LaMarche and his wife, Sharie of Durham, North Carolina, James LaMarche and his wife, Michelle of Peru, a daughter, Wendy LaMarche and her fiancé', Mark LaSalle of 28 Dumont Road, West Chazy, NY, five grandchildren, Jane Pelletier, William James LaMarche, Karie Pelletier, Kelsey Pelletier, Morgan Pelletier, a great grandson, Jermaine Patrick Brown, four brothers, Andy LaMarche and his wife, Linda of Plattsburgh, Eddie LaMarche and his wife, Cindy of Plattsburgh, Ricky LaMarche and his wife, Melissa of Keeseville, Gary LaMarche and his wife, Tammy of West Chazy, two sisters, Georgianna Trombley and her husband, Les of Virginia, Jeannie Heintz of Plattsburgh, a sister in law, Connie LaMarche of Peru and several nieces and nephews. Dad loved life and his animals, Maggie, Precious, Sassy, Hope, Socks and Peanut. He touched so many lives and mostly he touched ours. He truly taught us to live life to the fullest and to live it for the moment. My parents taught us that no amount of money would ever be able to replace love and support. Bill was well known in the community for a variety of involvement. He was a volunteer fireman for over thirty years, a CPR and First Aid Instructor, an EMT Instructor, a Firefighter, a Safety Officer and Fire Captain. He was awarded the EMT of the year in 2008, Fireman of the Year in 1989. Dad was dedicated to the fire department and I remember his helping to start out Morrisonville Ambulance Squad and how proud he was to see it take off. Dad was always dedicated to helping everyone and never asking for anything in return. His satisfaction came from making others happy. There will be a Memorial Mass in honor of William "Bill" LaMarche on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Church, 114 Cornelia Street, Plattsburgh.
