William H. Lepage, Jr.

February 18, 1958 — November 22, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William (Billy) LePage Jr., 66, of Chazy, NY, after a valiant battle with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Billy passed peacefully in his sleep after a beautiful last day spent with family and friends. He was born on February 18, 1958, in Plattsburgh, NY, the son of William LePage Sr. and Anna Mae (LaBarge) LePage. He graduated from St. John’s Central School in 1976, which is where he met the love of his life, Sharon (Kelley) LePage. Billy and Sharon raised their family in their cozy home in Chazy. Billy was a devoted husband and a loving father to his two daughters, Jamie and Jackie. He affectionately referred to his three girls as “Babe”. Billy was a music enthusiast. He turned his love of music into a very successful DJing business, Music X-Press, with Sharon as his emcee. Billy and Sharon were a dynamic duo who could always fill a dance floor. When they weren’t entertaining, they loved to hit the dance floor themselves. They danced together right up to his final days. Billy and Sharon loved weekend getaways. It was not unusual for them to pack their bags on a whim and head to Lake George or Alexandria Bay. They enjoyed their last trip to “Alex” Bay a month ago. Several years ago, Billy fulfilled his dream of owning a boat. He and Sharon met many new friends through this shared adventure. In recent years, Billy and Sharon found their “happy place” nestled by a little babbling brook at Blue Haven Campground. Here they spent many hours enjoying the camping life with their family and the many friends they made there. Anyone who knew Billy, knows he loved his “toys” - from his snowblower, to his tractor, to his souped-up golf cart. He was a kid at heart who loved to putter in his garage with all of his gadgets. Billy had a special bond with his grandchildren. Recently, he started building his Les Paul guitar collection with his grandson Liam’s assistance. Billy and Liam bonded over their love of music. He loved watching his grandsons Frankie and Jackson play baseball and football. He was very proud of his grandsons’ accomplishments on and off the field. Willow had her Papa wrapped around her finger. They enjoyed many episodes of classic sitcoms together and Billy enjoyed having Willow cozy up on the arm of his recliner to play games together. Billy retired from Georgia-Pacific, after 42 years of dedicated service. In his retirement, he turned his love for lawn care into a part-time gig by going to work at Miner Institute. The silver lining of their NYC trips to Sloan Kettering was staying with Billy’s sister and brother-in-law, Karan and Tom, in Latham. Billy lit up whenever his sister was with him, and he loved spending time with her. Billy is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; his daughter Jamie Bulriss, her husband Kevin, and their children Liam and Willow of Chazy, NY; his daughter Jacqueline Dashnaw, her husband Francis III, and their children Francis IV and Jackson, of Cadyville, NY; his sister Karan Mercadante and her husband Thomas, of Latham, NY, and their children Leanne and her husband Dylan, Tony and his wife Vicky, and Steve and his wife Krystal; his step-mother Doris LePage, of Plattsburgh, NY; many beloved friends and a large extended family that he was very close to. He was predeceased by his parents, Anna Mae and William. Please join us for a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26th in The Brookside Barn at The Rainbow Banquet Hall in Altona, NY. We are inviting donations in memory of Billy to be made to The Hope Lodge Lois McClure-Bee Tabakin Building, 237 East Avenue, Burlington, VT 05401, as this was a home away from home for Billy and Sharon.
