Beekmantown Mr. William S. "Bill" Lombard, 84, of the O'Neil Road, Beekmantown passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Plattsburgh, New York on November 22, 1925 the son of Roy and Gladys (Giles) Lombard. Bill retired from the Plattsburgh City School District. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing bingo. Bill was veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army and he was a Charter Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1466, Beekmantown. He was predeceased by his parents Roy and Gladys Lombard, his sisters; Carrie Wilton, Etta Bousquet, Carole Seymour, his brothers; Wendell, David, Orville, Clyde, Emery "Alden" and Roy Lombard, Jr. Bill is survived by a brother Charles Lombard and his wife Janice of Beekmantown, a sister Eunice Burl and her husband Ernest of Beekmantown, several nieces and nephews. At Bill's request there will be no calling hours. Graveside services with military honors will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stafford Road Cemetery on the Butler Road.
