Beekmantown Mr. William E. Nelson, 52, of Anderson Road in Beekmantown, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Fletcher Allen Healthcare in Burlington, Vermont with his family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on November 2, 1958, the son of the late Jack and Julia (Hebert) Nelson. William was employed at Georgia Pacific for over 30 years. He loved visiting with people, wood working, spending time in his new garage, NASCAR, and above all else, time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Thompson) Nelson, his children; William and Courtney Nelson of Saranac, Travis Nelson of Dannemora, Donald Dutko and his companion Linda of Peru, Beth and Howard Frenia of Morrisonville, his siblings; John and Karen Nelson of Black Brook, Rick and Catherine Checkowski of Black Brook, Russell and Allison Nelson of Peru, Jim "Mert" Nelson of Black Brook, brothers in law and sisters in law; Sandy and Frank Ryan of Plattsburgh, Dick and Elaine Thompson of Dannemora, Carol and Stuart Dewey of Morrisonville, William and Paula Roberts of Saranac, his grandchildren; Brandon, Chelsea, Will, Amanda, Howie, Derek, Jacob, and great granddaughter Summer Anne, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased his parents , a sister Barbara Nelson , two sons Paul and Roger Dutko , and his mothers in law, Bernice Roberts and Mildred Thompson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. Matthew's Church in Black Brook. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
