Morrisonville Mr. William C. "Bill" Pilkington, 69, of Rand Hill Road, Morrisonville passed away on his birthday, Friday, October 10, 2014 at his home with his loving family by his side while under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on October 10, 1945, the son of Manley and Joyce (Moore) Pilkington. Bill retired from the U. S. Air Force after serving from August 1963 to May 1984. He then worked as training coordinator for the Army/Air Force Exchange Commission. Bill later worked at Seton Catholic Central School and coached soccer and softball there as well. A huge sports fan, he was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees, the San Francisco Forty Niners and the Tennessee Volunteers. An avid motorcycle riding enthusiast, Bill and his wife Louise enjoyed many cross country trips and travelled to Alaska, Nova Scotia, Tennessee and Missouri. He thoroughly enjoyed having fun with family and friends. Bill was a member of St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville. He was predeceased by his parents Manley and Joyce Pilkington. Bill is survived by his wife Louise (Savoie) Pilkington of Morrisonville, whom he married September 22, 1974 at Beale Air Force Base in California. He is also survived by three daughters and their families; Michelle VanDenBusch of Plattsburgh and her children, Tiffany LaFountain and her husband Brian, Andrew VanDenBusch and Kyle VanDenBusch; Teresa Zimmerman and her husband Brian of Evans, GA and their children, Tim Bower, Bill Bower, Nicholas Bower and Brianna Zimmerman; Leighann Greene and her husband Kevin of Port Kent and their daughter Emma Greene. Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville. Military honors will follow the mass. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to Fitzpatrick Cancer Center or Hospice of the North Country.
