William G. Sill, 57, of Ormsby Circle, Peru, NY passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by his side. He was born in Rome, NY on August 2, 1963, the son of William R. and Kathleen (Colmey) Sill, III.
Known by his loved ones as Bill, Bill graduated from Rome Catholic School in 1982. After graduating he joined the U.S. Air Force, where he learned his trade as a lineman and was eventually stationed in Plattsburgh, NY. Bill then worked as a lineman at NYSEG for thirty years.
William Sill deeply loved his family and spending time with them, he was a lifelong guitar player, and spent most of his free time playing guitar and honing his skills. He loved all types of music, but classic rock in particular. He loved spending time with his husband, his three children, and his grandson. Bill understood the importance of love, and family, he was always present with everyone around him, and was not adverse to spending time in and with nature. He enjoyed camping, and outdoor activities for most of his life.
He is survived by his husband and partner of 14 years, Theodore Sill, they were married on January 26, 2017, his mother and father, Kathleen and William Sill, III, his children, Courtney Sill, Amanda Sill, and Billy Sill, and his grandson Caelum Brewster, his siblings, Christine Rossi, Jeff (Denise) Sill, Kathleen (Aaron) Barefoot-Soles.
Calling hours will be held on Monday November 30, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday December 1, 2020 at 11:00 am at St. James Church in Cadyville with full military honors. Memorial donations may be offered to UVM Cancer Center and Champlain Valley Family Center. Face masks and social distancing are required.
