William A "Bill" Stansbury

Plattsburgh William A. "Bill" Stansbury, 55, of Flynn Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Plattsburgh Rehabilitation in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on April 18, 1963, the son of the Ed and Marjorie (Coryea) Stansbury. He graduated from Peru Central School and CV-TEC in Plattsburgh. Bill worked at Howard Johnsons and did janitorial work as well, but later became disabled. Bill was married to Shannon Whitlow for 25 years prior to her passing. Being in an Air Force Family, he traveled to many states and countries in Europe. Even though Bill Had his struggles due to his disability he never let that bring him down or hold him back. He was the most kind, loving, caring, respectful and positive person. He loved to watch WWE wrestling, scary movies and Jeff Dunham. Hanging with his wife friends, Daniel and Glen, watching WWE and talking with them was one of his favorite things he looked forward to. He always loved joining different things and loved playing BINGO. He is a man that will be dearly missed by all his family and friends who knew him. He is survived by his father, his brother; Steven S. Stansbury and his wife Kim, his nephews; Steven J. and Cody Stansbury, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Michael and Janeen Defayette his niece Mikayla Defayette, nephew Jacob Defayette, his aunt Janet Coryea, many cousins, aunts and uncles from New York and many other states. He was predeceased by his mother, his wife, Shannon, and his uncle Les Stansbury. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church. Burial will be at 2:00 pm in Holy Angels Cemetery. A reception with follow the funeral mass at the Our Lady of Victory Parish Center. Memorial donations may be offered to Muscular Dystrophy Association.
