Wilma Katherine Farley, 91, of Bushey Boulevard, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing Center with family by her side. She was born in Ellenburg on February 24, 1929 the daughter of William and Dora (Amo) Tourville.
At five years of age, she moved with her parents to Plattsburgh. She graduated from D’Youville Academy and continued her education at the Loretta Business School graduating with honors.
She lived five years in Chaumont, France in the fifties and upon returning to the United States, she lived 32 years in Golden, Colorado prior to returning to Plattsburgh. Wilma loved travelling, reading, music and dancing. She spent most of her working years dealing antique glassware and period furniture along with real estate.
She was the mother of two children; Paul C. Cardennis III (predeceased), a daughter; Pamela (Cardenses) and Pamela’s husband Olaf Lubeck of Tucson, AZ. She leaves behind three granddaughters Allison, Rebeca and Erica Cardennis of Colorado and three grandsons of California; Christopher, Brian and Andrew Lubeck. She is also survived by four sisters; Mrs. Anthony Tarricone (Caroline), Mrs. Sylvia Stack , Mrs. John Manny (Gloria) all of Plattsburgh, Mrs. Siegfried Sitte (Diane) of Toronto, Ontario, a brother; William Tourville and his wife Deanie of Columbia, SC.
She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Paul C. Cardennis, II, second husband John Farley, and three brothers; Clement (Joe) Tourville, Arthur Tourville and Lawrence Tourville.
A private ceremony was held for her at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. Interment was at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
