Yvonne M. Bordeau, 85, of O'Neil Road in Beekmantown, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at her home with family by her side and under the care of Hospice. She was born in Mooers on December 18, 1937, the daughter of the late Orlando and Mary (Laniel) Bulriss.
Yvonne worked for over 60 years at the family businesses, Bordeau's Furniture, Buck's Discount Center and Bucks Plaza. She also was an avid coin collector and also enjoyed going to the casino and spending time at her camp and strawberry milkshakes. Her famous words were "Let's Go" and meant a ride and a strawberry milkshake..
She is survived by her husband of 64 Marvin "Bucky" Bordeau, her children and their spouses; Cheryl and Scott Goldfarb, Nancy and Rick Coty, Robert "Robbie" and Cristina Bordeau, five grandchildren; Melissa (Steven) Fuller , Aaron (Samantha) Goldfarb, Adam Goldfarb, Kristy Coty and Kurtis Coty, her siblings ; Reil Bulriss, Leonard (Carol) Bulriss, Lorraine (Gerald) Castine, Loretta Lashway, two great grandchildren; Olivia Fuller and Oaklyn Goldfarb, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings Theresa (Francis) Peryea, Isabelle (Jerry) Ashline, Gerard (Faye) Bulriss, Lucille (Owen) LaFountain, and Clara Hemingway.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. Interment will be in St. Peter's cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the fuel funds for St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks or Holy Angels Church in Altona.
