Brenda L. Rabideau, 71, of Irona Road, Altona, NY passed away on Tuesday November 15, 2011 at her home with her loving family by her side, under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on April 13. 1940, the daughter of Edward and Ellen (Peryer) Bushey. Brenda enjoyed playing golf, her computer and spending time with her family and her dog, Dusty. She was a member of the Good Fellowship Club in Mooers, Holy Angels Church and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Brenda had many friends in the community and at the Ganienkeh Reservation in Altona. She was predeceased by her parents, granddaughter Sarah Beth LaPier, son-in-law Patrick LaPier, nephew Steven Williams, mother-in-law Lillian Bushey, brothers-in-law; Alton and Gloria Rabideau and Homer and Fannie Rabideau and a sister-in-law and dear friend Cecile Rabideau. Brenda is survived by her husband of 56 years, Milton Rabideau of Altona, two daughters; Debbie Lapier and her companion Ray Gaudreau, Kelly Gilman and her companion Lance Forkey, a son David Rabideau and his wife Sue, all of Altona, eight grandchildren and their spouses; Barry Lapier, Troy Rabideau, Maria and Ryan Blondo, Olivia and Jimmy Carr, Hannah Forkey, Noah, Joshua and Bobbie, two sisters; Barbara Williams and Donna Dragoon and her husband Larry, two brothers; Edward Bushey and his wife Betty and Richard Bushey, a brother-in-law Richard Rabideau and his companion Aletta Benson of Plattsburgh, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Thursday November 17, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Altona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday November 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Angels Church in Altona, entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Ellenburg. Donations in Brenda's memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country, Altona Fire Department or Masses in her memory.
