Mary E Stewart-Stiles

Mary E. Stewart-Stiles, 90 of Morrisonville, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on December 7, 1930 the daughter of Winifred Carpenter-Griffin.

Mary was a graduate of St. John’s Academy. She retired from CVPH Medical Center. Mary was a devout member of St. Alexander’s Church and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was a Cornell Master Gardener and enjoyed gardening, being outside, loved her kitties, and baking. She especially enjoyed wishing everyone a happy birthday!

Mary was predeceased by her first husband Orville Stewart, her second husband J. Edmund Stiles, her daughter Jean Stow, her siblings; Anne Griffin Regier, Charles Griffin, and Richard Griffin.

She is survived by five sons and spouses; Christopher (Margaret) Stewart, Thomas Stewart, James (Kim) Stewart, Tim (Cindy) Stewart, Paul (Lisa) Stewart, her daughters and spouses, Catherine (Brion) Forget, Pamela Atkinson, Mary (Tom) Edwards,. Christine (Dan) Froelich, two stepsons; Phillip Stiles, Scott (Ellice) Stiles, one step daughter Dr. Renee Stiles, her brother; William (Sandra) Griffin, thirty grandchildren, forty-eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 3:00-6:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. Masks are greatly encouraged. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 11:00am at St. Alexander’s Church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
