Winnifred G "Winnie" Everleth (Canning)

Saranac Mrs. Winnifred G. "Winnie" Everleth, 94, of Saranac, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 with her family by her side and under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Lyon Mountain on January 17, 1922 the daughter of the late Wilbur and Winnifred (Taylor) Canning. Mom was a strong and wonderful person. She married the love of her life, Milton Everleth on August 14, 1942 at St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain. Meme's greatest love was spending time with her family at camp on Chazy Lake. In her spare time Winnie could be found playing card games with her family or completing crosswords and word jumbles from the Press Republican. She is survived by her children; Ronald Everleth and his partner Rose, Melonie Scheunemann and her husband Dean, William Everleth and his wife Julie, her grandchildren; Jennara, Brenden, Joseph, Rachael, Ben, Shanna, and Josh, her sisters; Wilburta Ryan and her husband Wayne, Nancy Garrow and her husband Russell, and Kathy Rodriquez, her sister in laws, Judy Canning and Peggy Canning, and her brother in law Ken Davies, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her siblings; Alvin, Wilbur, Harold, Michael, Nora and Hilda. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 3 Park Row, Cadyville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora, NY. Interment will follow in the Saranac Independence Cemetery.
